'Aetherlight' is the long awaited debut album from Mt. Wolf, a London based three-piece comprised of Sebastian Fox (singer/producer), Stevie McMinn (guitarist), and Al Mitchell (drums).

We've been following the band since we reviewed their EP 'Hypolight' back in 2013, and also voted them onto the Blog Sound Of 2014 poll. They had a hiatus of sorts after former bandmate Kate Sproule left at the tale end of 2014, but since then having been working with producer Ken Thomas (M83, Daughter) on creating a new identity whilst maintaining their original sound.

Released through CRC Music, the 13 track record provides an hour's worth of beautiful, subtle, and lush soundscapes, drawing upon both electronica and rock. There is a great depth and transition within their music, floating effortlessly between being bass heavy and then more folk led.

We recently caught the band playing a sold out show in support of Aetherlight at the Hoxton Hall, and needless to say the night was pretty special with the album brought to life in spectacular fashion. Mt. Wolf are clearly most at home when in the live setting and with performances like the one we saw sure to see them play bigger and bigger stages in the future.
